IAG 2009: Making the tough decisions

This year the IAG conference will focus on making tough decisions in the public sector and the possible outcomes and consequences.

The IAG conference 2009 is hosted by Public Sector finance professionals and provides finance and administrative staff from all areas of government the opportunity to share experiences, ideas and information.

On 9 December 2008 the State Treasurer, The Honourable Andrew Fraser MP, issued a media statement titled "Tough Decisions for Tough Times". In keeping with this theme the organising committee of the 2009 IAG Annual Conference are pleased to bring you the "Making the Tough Decision" conference.

Michael Pascoe is confirmed as the facilitator on the first day and will lead a panel discussion, of senior executives from the private and public sectors, on making the tough decisions. Senior Executives from the public sector will share their experiences in making tough decisions, technical updates will be provided by the Tax and Financial Management branches of Treasury and the QAO, QGCPO and the SSA will provide updates on developments in their respective arenas. And as we always like to end the conference on a light hearted note this year we have confirmed Ahn Do as the closing speaker.
